Role Overview

Are you passionate about data science and its transformative potential in industrial applications? Join our forward-thinking team as a Data Scientist. In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing and deploying predictive models and AI-driven solutions that enhance our digital product offerings. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to innovative projects, and help shape the future of steam engineering through data.


Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, and validating predictive algorithms and machine learning models.
  • Supporting field trials and pilot studies to test and refine new models.
  • Conducting research studies and experiments to develop new intelligent solutions to deliver value for our customers.
  • Documenting findings and publishing insights in internal and external forums.
  • Providing training to internal teams on the application of predictive technologies.
  • Continuously learning and applying advancements in AI and steam engineering.
  • Reporting regularly on activities to the Head of Digital Products.
  • Advocating for data science best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Ensuring compliance with quality procedures, safety standards, and confidentiality policies.
  • Identifying opportunities for cost efficiency and process improvement.

Your Previous Experience Is Likely To Include

  • Hands-on experience with machine learning, data analytics, and AI technologies.
  • Working knowledge of predictive modelling and algorithm development.
  • Using IOT data to develop ML and AI solutions to deliver product insights.
  • Ability to conduct experiments in the laboratory using sensors and set-up electronic equipment to gather data.
  • Collaboration with engineering, product, and UX teams to align technical solutions with business needs.
  • Engagement with external partners to support integration and development goals.
  • Experience in steam engineering or related thermal systems domains.
  • Familiarity with industrial or engineering environments is a plus.
  • Strong physics, mechanical, research or steam background is a strong plus.
  • Experience mentoring junior colleagues in data science or related fields.
